Respite care is for families with a primary caretaker who may need a break from the stress or pressure of taking care of their special needs loved ones.
Respite care can be provided in a variety of settings, including the loved one's home and/or community settings, such as a park.
Respite care can be used for a child 12 years or older when a parent/caretaker is working.
Respite care providers need to be 18 years and older.
Community Connector
Community Connector provides assistance for your loved one with special needs outside of their home setting.
Services can be provided at locations in the community setting, such as retail stores and restaurants. Care providers support the client as they build natural supports and relationships within their community.
Community Connector care providers need to be 18 years and older.
Homemaker- Basic and Enhanced
Homemaker services consist of typical household tasks for the child/adult receiving services by performing them (Basic Homemaker Services) and teaching the child/adult to accomplish the tasks within their ability and encourage a timely completion (Enhanced Homemaker Services).
Tasks include but are not limited to dusting, making the bed, picking up the client’s room, vacuuming, folding clothes, putting away clothes, and helping with doing the laundry.
Enhanced homemaker services include the same as Basic Homemaker but in addition provide more thorough cleaning training, by encouraging the child/adult to learn and complete a more thorough cleaning according to their abilities.
Homemaker care providers need to be 18 years and older.
